Trekking and Traditional Village Stay

Waerebo is a unique traditional Manggarai ethnic village with traditional houses. It is located at an altitude of 1,125 m above sea level amongst the Nature Conservation forest. There are 7 traditional houses or Mbaru Tembong and each of them houses more than one family. The people live of agricultural products like coffee beans, taro and vegetables. The hike to the village is about 3 to 4 hours passing forests and nature pools.

Day 1

Labuan Bajo – Denge ( L,D)


Start from htl at Labuan Bajo or arrive early at LBJ. Drive inland with beautiful panoramic views, villages and rice fields. Lunch at local restaurant in Lembor.  Afternoon drive till Denge. Spend the rest of the afternoon interacting with locals.
Dinner & overnight at Guest House (simple accommodation).
Day  2 DENGE – WAEREBO
(B,L,D)Start the day early before it gets hot. Hiking uphill through the rain forest to reach Wae Lomba – a creek as the first stop after about a one hour trek from Denge. You can enjoy the natural pools before continue trekking. Then uphill to reach Post 2 at Pocoroko a point for panoramic views to the South and Savu sea.
It’s the last place where cellular phone connection services are available. The next stop will be at Nampe Bakok – a place where you will have a complete view over the traditional village of Waerebo. Arrive at Waerebo before midday. Lunch and dinner will be provided at the village. Spend your whole afternoon in the village and surroundings to experience the local way of life. Your overnight stay will be provided at one of the traditional houses. Sharing with the local people. (Very Simple accommodation).
Day 3 WAEREBO – DENGE – LABUANBAJO
 (B,L)Spend your morning in the village and then trek the same way back but this time you walk downhill until reaching a point where the car is waiting to bring you back to Labuan Bajo. Lunch will be provided en route. Arrive in Labuan Bajo by late afternoon or early of the evening. Drop at Hotel Puri Sari Lbj.
Day 4  Hotel – Apt ( B )

After Breakfast. Day at Leisure until transfer to Lbj Apt to catch the flight for next destination.
