Sulawesi has a total bird count of 350 species, with 4 categories classified: residents 127, endemic 88, migrants 97, and counted as residents or migrants 32. These numbers exclude Sangihe and Talaud, Banggai and Sula islands. Sangihe has 3 endemics, Talaud has 2 endemics, and Banggai has 2 endemics. From the 88 endemic birds of the island, Lore Lindu National Park has the highest number with c. 72, Dumoga Bone 51, and Tangkoko 38 species. Two or three other endemic birds are found in South Sulawesi.

North Sulawesi is the places for living from 89 species (86% from the total 103 endemic bird on Celebes island and also of the shore islands and there is 13 species and several is endemic Birds khas North Celebes and those are : Maleo (Macrocephalon maleo), Rangkong (Rhyticeros cassidix), Burung hantu gunung (Ninox ios ), burung hantu punggok oker (Ninox ochracea), Sikatan Matinan (Cyornis sanfordi), Sampiri (Eos histrio), burung Niu (Eutrichomyias rowleyi), kakatua jambul kuning (cacatua sulphurea), Pergam hijau (ducula aenea), Pergam putih (ducula luctuosa), Jalak moloneti (Scissirostrum dubium), Burung pendeta (Streptocitta albicollis, raja perling Celebes (Basilornis celebensis), Serindit Celebes (loriculus stigmatus), Kadalan Celebes (Rhampococyx calorhnychus), Burung udang merah kerdil (Ceyx fallax), Elang alap Celebes (Accipiter griseiceps)

The coast trail should produced many endemics including Green Imperial Pigeons , White-bellied Imperial Pigeons, and Grey-cheeked Green Pigeons, Small and Large Sulawesi Hanging Parrots almost side by side. Tangkoko Nature Reserve is located at Bitung City, 65 km from Manado. Tangkoko is a 9,000 hectare nature reserve that has attracted naturalists, researchers, scientists and nature lovers from around the world. Then in the forest, we will see our first Sulawesi Babblers,a plain bird with a pleasant song. The coast trail should produced many endemics including Green Imperial Pigeons , White-bellied Imperial Pigeons, and Grey-cheeked Green Pigeons, Small and Large Sulawesi Hanging Parrots almost side by side. Spectacular Fiery-billed Malkolas may be seen in the trees and Black-fronted White-eyes low down in the scrub.

The National Park can be reached by driveng about 4 hours from Manado. Wewill search for Sulawesi Black Pigeon, the elusive Sulawesi Ground-Dove, Yellow-breasted Racquet-tail, Bay Coucal, Green-backed Kingfisher, Sulawesi Dwarf Hornbill, and the simply stunning Red-bellied Pitta which is quite common here.

Ornate Lorikeets and Grosbeak Starlings may be flying overhead along with Blue-backed Parrots. We may spot Sulawesi Black Pigeon. Sulawesi Triller and many Sulawesi Cicadabirds should be seen here. Green-backed Kingfisher or Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher both endemic, would provide a great sighting for the tour. On our walk back we may spot the impressive Ashy Woodpecker ,and the superb Black-naped Fruit-Dove.
