FLORES SCUBA DIVE PACKAGE |

|
Flores northern coast consists of beautiful
tropical landscape surrounded by the
mountain and volcanoes. The islands on the
outer edge of the bay have nice coral reefs
with steep walls covered with hard corals
and large sea fans. Pulau Besar is the
largest of the islands with high mountains
and together with Dambilah and Pangahbatang
it forms a barrier to the water flowing in
and out of the bay. For this reason the bay
is calm at most times and dolphins, sperm
whales and whale sharks like to come here.
Dolphins and pilot whales are common and can
be seen during the whole year, mostly if the
sea is calm. Sperm whales can be seen during
the rainy season from November to December.
The best time to see whale sharks seems to
be April and May but they are around the
whole year, it seems, though, that if there
are waves they are very difficult to spot
from the boats.

Day 01 : Denpasar (Bali) - Maumere (Central
Flores Island)
We will pick you up at your hotel in Bali,
transfer to the airport to catch your flight
leaving for Maumere of central Flores
island. Upon arrival at Waioti airport of
Maumere, meet and greet by our local
representative. Transfer to your hotel for
dinner and accommodation. In the evening you
will have some brief about diving at north
coast of Flores island.
Day 02 : Maumere - Diving at Pulau Besar
Very early breakfast at the hotel, then
boating to Pulau Besar about 14 miles from
Maumere mainland. Our dive guide will brief
you again about the local water condition
and also marine life on the island. Lunch
box and refreshment are provided on board.
You will spend all day diving 2 up to 3 dive
tank per day. In the afternoon return to
Maumere. Dinner and stay at the hotel.
Day 03 - 04 : Maumere - Diving at Pulau
Pemana or the island surroundings
Very early breakfast at the hotel, then
boating to Pulau Pemana or the island
surroundings about 14 miles from Maumere
mainland. Our dive guide will brief you
again about the local water condition and
also marine life on the island. Lunch box
and refreshment are provided on board. You
will spend all day diving 2 up to 3 dive
tank per day. In the afternoon return to
Maumere. Dinner and stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Maumere - Riung
After breakfast at the hotel, driving
through the northern coast of Flores island
to west war. Upon arrival check at Pondok
SVD. Lunch at local restaurant or at the
lodge. In the afternoon your dive guide will
lead a trip to the seventeen islands. Spend
your afternoon diving and enjoy the
beautiful underwater life of Riung marine
park. Dinner and overnight at Pondok SVD.
Day 06 : Riung
After breakfast at the hotel, again you will
be led to the seventeen islands marine park
along the Riung north coast. Spend your day
for diving activities with lunch box and
refreshment provided on board. In the
afternoon return to the lodge. Dinner and
overnight at the lodge.
Day 07 : Maumere (central Flores Island) -
Denpasar (Bali island)
Very early in the morning, depart for Ende
town to catch your return flight to Denpasar
(Bali). On your arrival, transfer to your
original hotel. |

Package price include :

Rental Equipment
: rental equipment is available
to divers : Oceanic Regulators
and gauges, Buddy BCD,
Prescription Masks minus 1.5 up
to minus 8, 5 and 3mm suits,
long and short, Boots and Fins,
Computers. In case it is not
available or for some reason our
facilities may be damage, we
will suggest you to take along
or hire them in Bali before
travel to do dive in Flores.
What to wear
- when you travel to Flores Island :
everyone feels the cold to
different degrees, but we
generally recommend at least 3mm
full suits, we use 5mm full and
often a shorty 3mm on top when
it gets a little chillier.
