The
adventure quest of the biggest challenge
- crossing one of the most rugged
islands on earth from East to West.
Using roads, rivers and feet we traverse
the jungle of Kalimantan (Indonesian
Borneo). You must have a good level of
fitness and adventurous spirit and a
strong sense of determination, as
conditions and accommodations are
challenging. Using busses, public house
boat, chartered motorized canoes to
access the jungle for a rugged days of
trekking. sleep in the simple houses of
the villager with basic facilities and
on the house boats. The trekking is
tough and often wet, the only way to
appreciate the prima vera jungle of
Kalimantan and the most traditional
Dayak Tribes settlements as well as the
wildlife.
ITINERARY
Day 01 :
Balikpapan - Samarinda - Loa Janan -
Mahakam River (LD)
Arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting
service and directly transfer by car
proceed to Samarinda, check in at Mesra
International Hotel.
Day 02 to Day 04 : Samarinda - Mahakam
River (BLD)
After breakfast in the morning direct
drive to Ferry and by public boat cruise
up exciting adventure Mahakam River .
Meals & overnight on boat.
Day 05 : Loh
Bangun - Rapids - Tiong Ohang (BLD)
After simple breakfast full day trip by
long boat cruise up Mahakam River
through some amazing rapids and where
you will see beautiful sceneries along
both side of the river. Meals provided
enroute & overnight at Long house.
Day 06 & Day 13
: Tiong Ohang - Up River - Trek (BLD)
After simple breakfast continue the trip
by motor canoe proceed to starting
trekking point. Every day we trek
approximately 3-5 hours through primary
rain forest & Muller mountain. Where we
will enjoy the beautiful sceneries,
fishing and experiencing the jungle.
Meals provided en route& overnight in
jungle camp.
Day 14 : Tanjung
Lokan - Putusibau (BLD)
In the morning after breakfast, fully
day trip downstream's on Bongan River by
long boat proceed to Putusibau. En route
you will pass big rapids. Meals provided
en route& overnight at long house.
Day 15 : Putusibau
(BLD)
In the morning sightseeing in town,
afterwards by bus drive to Sintang.
Meals provided en route& overnight at
Losmen.
Day 16 : Sintang -
Pontianak (BLD)
In the morning free program, afterwards
by bus proceed to Pontianak . Overnight
at a good hotel.
Day 17 : Pontianak
- Departure (BLD)
Free at leisure until departure time of
you flight for your next destination
