Day 01 : Bali/Jakarta/Semarang to
Pangkalan Bun - Kumai - Camp Leakey
Park.
Especially depart from Bali, you will
receive our extra services of pick up
from your hotel in the morning, transfer
to the airport to catch your flight to
Yogyakarta. Upon arrival in Yogyakarta
direct drive to Semarang of central
Java. Fly from Semarang to Pangkalan Bun
with a small commercial flight service.
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport
you will be picked up by our local staff
transfer to Kumai aboard local boat for
the park. The boat is a traditional
Klotok wooden river boat about 12m by 2m
with a roof which forms the upper deck
where you can view the rain forest as it
glides by. On the wayup stop at Tanjung
Harapan Rehabilitation center for
exceptive orangutan. If time permitted
we will have an opportunity to see
feeding time at 15.00. In the peaceful
afternoon we will slowly explore the
quite river by the klotok while observe
the monkeys along the riverside. Dinner
and overnight on the board
(with simple mattress, pillow, fine
meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito
net, kitchen, simple toilet available on
boat besides the familiar - helpful
guides and boatmen or spend the night at
the lodge near by the river).

Day 02 : Camp Leakey Park - Pondok
Tangguy - Camp Leakey (Boat/Lodge)
After breakfast aboard the klotok or
local boat to travel up river for
about 2½ hours boating and then up a
side creek to Camp Leakey where the
older orangutans are reintroduced
into the rain forest and also known as
research center for Orangutan. On the
up stop at Pondok Tanggui to see
morning feeding time for ex-captive
orangutan. Lunch then take short hike
at the forest until the time to
witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for
old rehabilitation orangutan given
additional foods. Overnight on the
boat or at Rimba Lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 03 : Park - Pondok Tangguy - Pesalat
- Pangkalan Bun
After breakfast board the klotok to
travel up the river for Pondok Tanguy,
the rehabilitation center for the new
ex-captive orangutans, see feeding
time at 09.00am, continuing the trip
to Pesalat replantation camp, see the
process of replantation project or
take this opportunity to hike at
forest. We could visit village near by
the park before proceed to boating
down the river back to Kumai and
Pangkalan Bun. Overnight at Hotel
Pangkalan Bun. (B,L,D)
Day 04 : Kumai - Pangkalan Bun - Bayat
Dayak Village
After breakfast, straight to the speed
boat harbor about 5 - 10 minutes away.
Please covered your valuable things
with dry bags and put suntan lotion
for sun protection. We recommend also
bring soft ear plugs as the sounds of
speed boat is so noisy. You will be
boarding your speed boat on the Arut
River before change to the Lamandau
River and Balantikan river. On the way
you will pass some villages, logging
company and rapids. You will stop for
lunch on the way. Upon arrival at
Bayat Village after 5 - 6 hours drive.
Bayat is one between other semi modern
dayak village and also our starting
point to the deep forest of Borneo.
Dinner and overnight at villager

Day 05 : Bayat Village - Kahingai
Village
Breakfast at, then boat up the river
by motorized canoe for almost one day
ride. In the wap up is the
breathtaking surrounding view of some
traditional dayak village and rain
forest, challenging rapid. Lunch will
be serve on the route. Afternoon
arrive Kahingai and overnight at
villager house. (B,L,D)
Day 06 : Kahingai - Moving Plantation
After breakfast, one day exploring the
surrounding area of Kahingai,
following the trails up of the hill
accompanied with our local expert to
learn their live such as hunting, set
the trap, collecting the rottan and
any other local peoples activities.
Lunch will cook as their way of
cooking. Overnight in the forest with
tend. (B,L,D)
Day 07 : Moving Plantation - Kahingai
Village
Take morning opportunity to
surrounding the forest then proceed to
get back to Kahingai village overnight
at village house. (B,L,D)
Day 09 : Kahingai - Bayat - Bakonsu
Village
Morning breakfast then boat down the
river to Bayat village and proceed by
speed boat to take other different
river to Bakonsu village. After
dinner, they will ringing their gong
or one of their music instrument to
gathering together for this Horn Bill
Dancing Party. Lots of people will
join and you will be welcome like a
King & Queen. (B,L,D)
Day 09 : Bakonsu - Pangkalan Bun
Morning breakfast sightseeing around
the village observe of the remain of
head hunting expedition age then boat
down following the stream to Pangkalan
Bun. Having farewell dinner with all
the crew. Dinner and overnight at
Pangkalan Bun Hotel.
Day 10 : Pangkalan Bun - Bali or other
destination
Breakfast at the hotel, in
the morning free for leisure
surrounded by peaceful green natural
forest till time to transfer to Kumai
then to Pangkalan Bun airport for next
destination. (B)
